Help accused of jewellery theft

The case was registered with the Kondhwa police station after the alleged theft on July 11.u00a0The accused, Sultana Maula Sayyed, had been working as a maid at the home of complainant Shafat Jameel Ahmed Zaheer (45) for two months before the alleged theft.

Zaheer said the theft occurred when the bags were being packed for the family to undertake a journey to Bangalore for a wedding. u00a0Police Sub-Inspector Bhange said investigations were on, but "substantial proof" against the maid was lacking.u00a0
