Around 360 women students have not been allotted rooms and have been sharing accommodation with other girls, while some are living in rented accommodation outside the campus.
The students held a protest against the delay in allotment of rooms on Tuesday.
The president of the JNU Students' Union, Sandeep Singh, said, "The university's student intake will increase next semester. Yet the administration has no concrete infrastructural plan to handle the situation."
