Speaking to MiD DAY, former Delhi police joint commissioner (traffic) Maxwell Pereira refrained from drawing any broad-based conclusions and said that in the case where the woman ASI was attacked, the robbers didn't know she was a cop as she was not wearing a uniform. "In the Chanakyapuri incident I would like to say that it should be thoroughly investigated whether it was a deliberate act on part of the accused woman or was it accidental. Police should establish it through investigation," Pereira said.
