Meet the savvy Sonal Chauhan who takes her first step in Sandalwood, with her debut Kannada film opposite Shivrajkumar
Not camera shy, Sonal Chauhan was first seen on screen in Himesh Reshammiya's album. This young lass also modelled for various ramp shows as well as commercials. Her first film debut was with Mukesh Bhatt's Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi. She later played a lead role in the Telugu film Rainbow. Sonal is now starring opposite Shivrajkumar and shooting with him for the Kannada film Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu, due to release this year. She's also familiarising herself with the language.

This is your first Kannada movie, were you thrilled with the offer? When I heard the story I really liked it. It's something that won't go unnoticed for sure. Yes, I am really excited working for this project. I am not very familiar with the language. But I am trying to learn it on sets everyday.
Can you elaborate on your role in the movie?It's a story about a girl, who leads a simple lifestyle. It's all about how love changes her entire life. This movie is for the masses, will appeal to the families. It is not another movie dealing with the same old theme, it is different and offers something new for the audience.
Have you found your perfect man?No, I am not, as I have not found the perfect man. Ah! Sorry, the perfect man does not exist. I feel I am too demanding and as per my demands, I guess there is no man who can meet my expectations.u00a0
What are your current projects? I am working in a film that is directed by MF Hussain's son Owaiz.
Any particular director or actor you would want to work with?I am not really particular about whom I would want to act with. This would be my first movie in Sandalwood. I don't want to restrict myself and loose on opportunities to work with anyone. I have to confess that Shivannau00a0 has been very supportive. He and his wife even treated the entire crew to a delicious south Indian meal at their residence.
