A case of sexual harassment has been reported at one of India's premier management institutes of the country - Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore. A woman medical officer alleged that IIM-Bangalore's chief administrative officer had been sexually exploiting her for the past couple of years.
A women's rights group on Thursday staged a protest in front of the institute demanding action against the official. The protesters slammed the delay in initiating action against the administrative official, police said.
The lady medical officer had lodged the complaint in 2010 and the National Women Commission had directed the IIM-B to enquire into it. The activists of the NGO said they would meet the IIM-B Director in about two days and submit a memorandum.
In another development, a section of employees of the Institute also staged a protest in support of the official who is facing allegations of harassment.
