Thank God! Theatre is back with a bang in the capital with some amazing performances.

Today, you can watch Ghalib in New Delhi, the play that deals with the poet's re-birth in the 21st century Delhi, his trials, travails and troubles from his birth at ISBT to staying in a servant quarter at Patparganj with a Bihari young man (the land lady being a Punjabi) to becoming a Page-3 celebrity.

The play follows his life from anonymity to popularity and how he adopts to the changes. This is India's longest running comedy and it embodies the fusion of Bihari and Punjabi culture and Ghalib's own Urdu culture, all together in 21st century.

The director, Dr Sayeed Alam says, "the play is presented in a funny manner and is a satire on the darker side of modernisation and development of the city." Don't miss the hilarious drama of Ghalib searching for his old Dilli in the stunning city but getting lost in the daze by becoming one of us.
