New Delhi: India on Thursday hit back at Pakistan, saying the "glorification" of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani at the UN General Assembly showed Islamabad's "attachment to terrorism".

As Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif raked up the Kashmir issue in a major way in his UNGA address, and called for an international probe into alleged rights violations in the Kashmir Valley and a plebiscite, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted India's reaction.

"PM Sharif at #UNGA says India poses unacceptable conditions to dialogue. India's only condition is an end to terrorism. This not acceptable?" Swarup posted. Sharif in his speech said that Pakistan is ready to "walk the extra mile" for dialogue with India, but New Delhi imposes unacceptable pre-conditions for talks.

"Pak PM Sharif at #UNGA glorifies Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani in UN's highest forum. Shows continued Pak attachment to terrorism." "Pak PM Sharif at #UNGA in complete denial of Uri terror attack. 19 infiltration attempts stopped at LoC this year. Indigenous??!!," Swarup tweeted.

His reference was to Sunday's terror attack at an army base camp in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 18 Indian soldiers were killed and four attackers gunned down. India has blamed the attack on Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed militants.
