The rains are on their way to restrict your exercise sessions. How about staying clear of the gym and adopting a healthy home-based approach instead? Fitness trainer Namita Jain's Indoor Monsoon Workout plan should help
Seven heaven: This indoor workout schedule provides you with a set of exercises that will develop your stamina and overall health. The seven-day plan includes two forms of exercises strength and cardio workouts. The strength training starts with a five-minute warm-up session through brisk-walking, which should be done on alternate days. This should be followed by bent-over rows, waist bends, leg extension, chair dips, wall sit, wall press-ups, crunches, leg and arm stretch. "These weight-training exercises can be enhanced with home props like water bottles, chair, wall, and carpet or mat and bath towel," advices Namita.

Dil da maamla : The cardio scheme involves simple do-at-home exercises like staircase climbing, brisk walk, on-the-spot jogging and skipping. "It's not easy to commute when it's raining. My plan is based around this practicality. This home-based fitness structure assures you results that you derive from toiling at a gymnasium. But you need to have the motivation to sweat it out at home, too. Also, working out indoors is far more convenient for most of us," signs off Namita.
