Employees of Infosys will soon get lessons on road discipline and traffic from America Online (AOL) engineers.

On January 8, MiD DAY had reported of a group of engineers in AOL who created a documentary on the city's traffic in an attempt to inculcate discipline among other techies and college students.

First off

Infosys, a major contributor to vehicular population, has come forward to show the documentary in its campus by the end of this month.

"Infosys will be the first to support the initiative," said Vishwanath Seetharam, manager, AOL.

"We will screen the documentary and have interactive sessions with techies on traffic and things we can do to bring discipline on the roads," he said.

"This is part of safety week in Infosys," added Divya, an HR personnel at Infosys.

Going all out

The AOL team plans to screen the documentary starting next week in other companies such as Wipro and Accenture and at colleges including St Joseph's, Bishop Cotton's and Baldwin's.

Even students seem enthused about the initiative.

"The policy is welcome," said S Dhanpal, an MBA student of St Joseph's. "We need such orientations as it helpsu00a0u00a0 traffic on city roads to be more disciplined."
