Giving them a token of relief, the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) officials announced that these students would be allotted admissions at Mumbai's Grant Medical College on Monday. The students would be asked to provide an undertaking about their case validity and give a time period stating when they are would submit their original certificates.
DMER Joint director, Dr Pravin Shengare, said, "Since the number was very small, we decided to fulfill the admission process in Mumbai."u00a0 Failing to receive their documents, students also complained to the state officials. According to a recent government resolution, the certificate has been made a mandatory document to be submitted while seeking admissions. As a result of this delay, students will not be able to avail the privileges accorded to them as reserved category students.
