City school introduces e-governance, marksheet to be sent on mail
Technology might evolve your life but now it may well be a part of your classrooms. Schools in Delhi are all set to digitize and implement information technology as a part of the education system as well as in administrative and academic levels.
Ahlcon International School is the first school to implement e-governance. They launched their website which lists how e-governance has benefited the school. It is also used for monitoring academic performance of the students, helps in admissions, managing student information, manage class and subjects according to requirements.
Apart from providing detailed information about a student, right from his academic performance to the books he/she has been reading - the system analyses a student's performance and offers feedback. It also tracks students on their way back home. In case the school bus breaks down or there is a medical emergency, it will guide the in-charge or the driver to the nearest place where help is available.
"Through a single platform, e-governance is able to provide the 'why, when, where' of any information, interaction and transactions," said Vineet Joshi, Chairperson, CBSE.
"As a parent I am convinced that e-governance makes learning and assessment of a child transparent and it also helps teacher and parents to decide what is essential for the development of my child," said Sandeep Sehgal, a resident of Ramprastha, in suburban Delhi.
