"Yasin Malik was detained at Mirgund (Pattan) along with some of his associates today (Monday)," a police officer said here.

Malik was on his way to Devar Lolab village in Kupwara district to meet the family of 70-year-old Habibullah Khan who was killed April 14 by the army, claiming that he was a separatist guerrilla.

Khan later turned out to be a beggar when his son, Raj Mohammad Khan, came forward to claim his body. His body was exhumed and handed over to the family by authorities here Saturday.
