Karnataka on Saturday celebrated the 269th birth anniversary of erstwhile Mysore (Mysuru) ruler Tipu Sultan and the one person who was conspicuously missing from the festivities was Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
Even deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, who was slated to inaugurate the state celebrations here, did not make it to the event. The Chief Minister's office though clarified that he was resting for three days Saturday onwards on the advice of his doctors.
