Designer Manish Tiwari whose caricatures on CWG scams created ripples is back with his new show, Kashmir Calling

Watching stonepelters in Kashmir in full action on television from the comfort of our air-conditioned rooms indeed 'excites' but have we ever, on an unbiased note, tried to understand why the youth in Kashmir is so helpless that its wasting the most vital part if life battling teargas shots. Many of us would've, but rest don't even care. Manish Tiwari, in his latest works, tries to give logic to the stone pelting and terrorism incidents that keep us glued to the television, but in a satirical manner.
It's 'critical'
The issue of Jammu and Kashmir has long been contested, and we don't know if it the every-boiling turmoil will ever meet a dead end. While politicos have become masters in making us belief that they're really concerned about the 'disputed' and 'disturbed' part of the country, we fail to understand why the problem is becoming fiercer and fiercer. " Be it any problem, it can be solved only if you intend to. In my opinion, the problem hasn't been solved because through policies and speeches, the government has made youngsters in Kashmir feel that they live in the 'disputed' part of the country," says the designer who'll showcase his works in a one day exhibition tomorrow. All the works have been don't using fine black pen on white paper. These works will also be available for sale.
