Twenty nine year-old Suresh Paryani experienced pretty much that when he had to put together his wedding, singlehandedly. The frustration led to the launch of Bighelp, India's first personal service assistant firm that provides you a Man Friday who will pay your bills and book your tickets, at a charge of Rs 4,000 a month.

"Similar services are available in the UK and US, and ironically, some of them outsource labour from Bangalore.

But there was nothing specific to the need of Indians," says Paryani. The service might be of extra interest to the harried working professional struggling for time, an expat new to the city, or an entrepreneur who travels frequently. The company has managed to bag eight clients within two months of launching.

How it works: Once you register on the site, they fix up a meeting with you to understand your day-to-day needs. You have to agree not to demand "illegal" services. Within a week, you receive a welcome kit with the details of your personal assistant. Thisu00a0 Man Friday is then at your beck-and-call, fixing your appointments via phone or email, keeping you in the loop. He's the guy you call if you need a plumber to fix your leaking tap or the nearest hospital in case of an emergency. He pays your bills, carries out visa applications, even delivers flowers to your girlfriend.

Range of services: Their motto "leave the hard work to us" speaks for itself since the site offers a list of 83 services that include random tasks like booking movie/flight tickets to co-ordinating birthdays and anniversaries, online updating of files, helping in admissions, filing income tax papers, booking a taxi, even hiring a detective.
