Labourer who came in search of job robbed


A 26-year-old labourer who came to the city in search of work was robbed by two men at Tulsi Park, a few yards away from the Upparpet police station on Wednesday.

Raja, a native of Dharmapuri, had come to Bangalore n search of job. He had some money for his expenses till he gets a job.

After searching for the job in all hotels in Madiwala and Upparpet, Raja decided to return to his native. He enquired about the next bus to his native and later came to Tulsi Park to rest for a while. While he was taking a nap, two men pounced on him, gagged his mouth and robbed cash Rs 2,000.

They also slashed his back with razor when Raja resisted. When Raja approached Upparpet police station he was asked to go to Cottonpet police station.

In another incident, a private firm employee returning from home was robbed of her handbag containing gold chain, gold bracelet and other valuables in Mico Layout.

Patibha who was returning from work dropped her handbag accidentally. While she was trying to pick it up, two men on motorcycle rushed towards her and sped away with the bag.
