Get ready to shake with mirth this Friday evening as you watch stand up comedian Vir Das do his funny act

Shoo away your midweek blues and bring in the weekend this Friday night with a date with Vir Das, who's also called weird ass by friends. He has done it before and this time he's back to tickle your ribs.

Watch stand-up comedian Das live on stage in Walking on Broken Das, an act divided into three segments.

Ashwin Gidwani Productions brings Das in three different characters with varied flavours of comedy through a series of monologues.

"The show is called Walking on Broken Das since I have broken it into three different characters and tried to experiment with different genres of comedy," Das says.

"The aim is to give the audience as many variations as possible in 90 minutes." The act starts with Das posing as Mystro Ravi Darsaan, a 90-year old classical singer giving the audience an essence of spiritual comedy.

The stand up comedian will aim to provide a healing effect through a presentation punched with metaphysical terms, jokes, songs, stories and more.

Das then moves on to becoming Shrimati Sara Samdhan, a 60-year-old woman from Punjabi Bagh in Delhi.

Unlike the first part, this slice of the show deals with interactive comedy, where the performer directly addresses and interacts with the audience.

Ultimately Das enters the stage bringing in his own brand of comedy, which he describes as offensive and intelligent.

However, the beauty of the show is that it does not deal with anything that may appear as rocket science to you. Das presents the rigmarole of daily living such as brushing teeth, morning ablutions, reproducing children and other such routine activities with his unique sense of humour.

"This show is simple dealing with mundane routine stuff to which my viewers can relate to easily," adds Das.
Different costumes, make-up, lights and settings are used for each act to impart a theatrical touch.

Also, a clever use of multimedia maintains the flow in between different performances and does not break the continuity. Das promises that Walking on Broken Das will not appear monotonous even for once.

With his fresh pack of jokes and his satirical fashion of presentation, he is waiting to see you grinning the evening away.
