The family of the late singer and composer Raju Ananthaswamy has planted a tree at Mukthidhama in memory of the artiste yesterday.
Mukthidhama is a two-acre plot near Kumbalagodu, managed by a trust of the same name, where trees are planted honoring distinguished people for their services to the state.u00a0 "He will live here forever. We planted a sapling in Raju's memory," said Shantha Anathaswamy, Raju's mother.
Shantha also donated Raju's favorite earring and finger ring as she planted a mango sapling, as it was singer's favorite plant.u00a0
"We gave his rings as they were his favorite ones."
The trust has also reserved a spot for Major Sandeep Unni Krishnan's memorial.
