Baghel. Himanshu and Mukesh - both visually impaired - were close friends and used to have dinner together. After waiting for a while Himanshu decided that he would go to Mukesh's room and persuade him to eat his dinner first.

He reached Mukesh's room no 43 and called his friend. But, when nobody replied, Himanshu pushed open the door. After walking some paces in the room, he was hit by something suspended in the air.
He touched it and almost missed a heartbeat. The things in his hands were human legs.

Help arrives
Fearing the worst, he cried for help. The first name that came to his mind was Bakshi.
Bakshi came running to the room, switched open the light. Mukesh, a second year Hindi (Hons) student, was hanging from the ceiling with hands being tied in front.
Was it a suicide? Was Mukesh murdered? Why his hands were tied? Are some questions that the police was trying to answer till late Tuesday night.

Time lapse
College student's union president Anurag said when they found Mukesh's body, his tongue had turned pale and the rope around his neck was very tense. "Maybe he was hanging there for quite some time. It isn't clear if he committed suicide? We did not recover any suicide note, too."
Hailing from Agra, Mukesh was last seen by the hostel gatekeeper in the afternoon at around 12:30.u00a0 "Someone from outside had accompanied him up to the hostel gate. He must have had a problem finding his way to the hostel," added another student Samresh Bharati.

Probe on
Till late night the hostel gate was closed and the police were still at the spot investigating the crime scene. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Preet Hooda could not be reached despite repeated efforts.
"We cannot say something as of now. We are still trying to collect evidence from the crime scene. A clear picture would emerge after the post-mortem," a police official told MiD DAY, requesting anonymity.
