The disqualified MLAsu00a0-- 11 from the BJP and five independents, approached the party leaders through the Reddys seeking pardon yesterday. They were ready to tender an apology for having joined hands with JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy to topple the Yeddyurappa government.

MiD DAY had reported (October 14 and October 15) on the possibility of these MLAs coming back to the party fold. Speaker K G Bopiah had disqualified them on October 11, just before the CM sought vote of confidence in assembly.

The government had fallen short of majority after these legislators submitted a letter to the governor, withdrawing their support to the government. The legislators had moved the high court against the ruling of the speaker. The judgment on the case is reserved.
