This could well be the beginning of marathon probing sessions that he might have to endure in the future.
The Lokayukta police seems to have raised the heat against ex-CM
B S Yeddyurappa after Lokayukta Justice Shivraj Patil resigned last week
The Lokayukta police seems to have stepped up the heat against Yeddyurappa and kin since Justice Shivraj Patil resigned as the Lokayukta.
A grim-looking Yedyurappa, accompanied by Yalahanka MLA Vishwanath and a team of advocates, appeared before the investigating officer, as a summons was issued against him for allegedly committing irregularities in awarding the contract for the Uppar Bhadra power project.
Additional Director General of Police J V Goankar said, "The court has referred the case to us for investigations and he has showed up to clarify his position."
A team of officials conducted simultaneous raids on the office and house of Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of Yeddyurappa, and confiscated several incriminating documents related to the case recently.
Yeddyurappa was granted bail after he agreed to co-operate with the investigations and appear before the investigations officer whenever required.
