The party leaders, who are irked with factionalism and hooliganism by few leaders within the party, said that their grievances would now reach the party's senior leadership through the newly appointed party in-charge.u00a0
"It's the responsibility of party's city chief to convey our views to the senior leadership as he works as mediator between locallleaders and the top brass.
However, on several occasions earlier, we have observed that the city unit chief would purposely communicate wrong information on the problems within the party," said a MNS woman corporator, on condition of anonymity.
For the last few months, the local MNS leaders have been unhappy with some of the party functionaries in the city.
When MNS chief Raj Thackeray visited the city in the month of May, he clearly indicated, without taking anyone's name, that those leaders who consider themselves bigger than the party would be dealt with severely.
"On the one hand the party's organisation is getting stronger inthe city, but on the other hand the party is facing a leadership problem in the city," said MNS group leader in the PMC, Vasant More.
He added that all eight elected male representatives, including him, are senior leaders and there were some ego problems between them.
"That was the reason Raj saheb (MNS chief Raj Thackeray) appointed Paigude to look after the party, so that no injustice is done," added More.
"Saheb has given me a responsibility and I would discuss the city related issues with him. I hope that the party will function smoothly in city," said Paigude.u00a0
