A short film festival will be organised between January 8 and 15, 2015, for which participants will be asked to submit their work on nature, architecture and culture
The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has joined hands with the Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) to organise a short film festival between January 8 and 15, 2015.
"Nature, architecture and culture are the three categories. Participants are expected to submit their entries in Marathi, Hindi or English language.
The last date for submissions is December 15, 2014," PIFF director Jabbar Patel told mediapersons yesterday.
Ten films from each category will be shortlisted. While the winner will take home a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, those bagging second and third spots will get Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.
MTDC Regional Manager Vaishali Chavan said, "We will also show the winning film at various programmes organised and participated by the MTDC. We will take care of the filmmaker's travelling expenses if film gets selected for reputed international film festivals."
