Maharashtra government pays for heart surgeries on 12 children at Jaslok Hospital, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Bombay Hospital.


The Maharashtra government paid for heart surgeries of 12 anganwadi children in the age group of upto six years from Satara district, a release issued by the Maharashtra Chief Minister's office said.

Free heart surgeries were conducted on 12 children at Jaslok Hospital, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Bombay Hospital.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan visited Jaslok Hospital this evening and inquired about the health of the children.

The health officers of Satara zilla parishad had examined 98 children with heart-related ailments out of which 18 required immediate surgeries.
