A recently-opened beauty parlor on CMH Road, Indiranagar caught fire on Sunday night around 8.30 pm.
"I closed the parlor at around 7 pm and left for home. Around 8.35 pm, I got a call saying that my parlor was on fire, and I rushed to the spot immediately. Luckily it was not a major fire," said Carimera Dala, owner.
"Our security guard informed me that smoke was coming out of the first floor. I heard a loud noise when the showcase glass exploded.
I informed the fire department, and they were very quick to respond," said Abdul Majid, owner of the building.
"There is a garment shop on the ground floor, but fortunately the fire didn't reach there," he added.u00a0
A fire official said that the loss was estimated around Rs 50,000.
