The West Bengal Chief Minister dubbed the campaign a “drama” right before the Lok Sabha polls
Kolkata: Cocking a snook at the chai pe charcha campaign of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BSP) Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday dubbed it a "drama" ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
"Politics does not mean posing for the media. Politics needs dedication and devotion. Politics requires simple living...".

"Unlike the BJP, we don't believe in chatting at tea shops. We don't believe in such drama at the time of the elections. It is cheap politics," Banerjee said while addressing students, youth and other workers of the Trinamool Congress in Durgapur of Burdwan district.
The BJP is organising chai pe charcha (discussion over tea) across the country, as part of its campaign for the polls and also to stress on the humble beginnings of Modi, who has said he once sold tea at a small railway station in Gujarat. - Agencies
