Mentally unstable man suffers 60% burns
A mentally disturbed person in his early twenties climbed atop a railway diesel engine and suffered 60 per cent burn injuries when he came in contact with the overhead electric cable yesterday morning.

GRP officials rushed to the spot as a commotion ensued. The fire brigade was promptly summoned and the unconscious man was rescued. The incident was reported at 11.40 am.u00a0
"We rushed to the spot in just a minute," said Vijay Bhilare, Station Duty officer of Sant Rajguru Fire Station. "Firemen scaled a wall to reach the spot. The person was trapped in the narrow space between the platform and the tracks."
Bhilare said the person had received a high-voltage shock and was pulled out by firemen Sudam Kondare, Sunil Waghmare, Digambar More, Anil Mhaske. "We suspect the person who attempted this misadventure is mentally disturbed," said PI Mahendra Rokde of the GRP.u00a0
"He has been admitted to Sassoon hospital with burns injuries. We could not identify the person as documents found on him were charred. We have taken his photographs and are trying to ascertain his identity."
