The motorbike belonged to 26 year-old Amir Khan, a sales executive from Govandi, who had put up details to sell the bike on a website Quickers (.com). On May 17, Parvez called Khan and showed interest in purchasing the bike. The two decided to meet on May 19. Parvez met Amir and offered Rs 30,000 for the bike. He also asked for a test drive to which the latter agreed. When Parvez did not return for a long time and his cellphone was off, Khan lodged a police complaint. Investigations revealed that Parvez had already put up details to sell the bike on another website. The cops sent a bogus customer and caught Parvez red handed. They raided his residence and seized two other bikes, which he had robbed using the same modus operandi.
"We arrested Parvez on May 2. The court has remanded him to police custody till June 3," the investigating officer from Shivaji Park police station said. u00a0
