The 45-year-old had beaten up the accused for molesting his sister-in-law
A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death by two persons after he beat them up for molesting his sister-in-law. The incident was reported from Moti Nagar area in West Delhi.
DCP, (west), V Ranganathan said that the deceased Shivaji beat up two persons who molested his sister-in-law Kalawati when she was filling water from a tanker. "Early Monday morning at around 4 am, Shivaji's sister-in-law was waiting for her turn in a queue to fill the water when the two persons reached there.
They passed lewd comments at her and when she objected, they molested her. Shivaji intervened and beat them up. The persons fled from the spot threatening Shivaji of dire consequence," DCP said.
"After some time, Shivaji left his home and was moving in the nearby area when he was intercepted by the same persons who had molested his sister-in-law.
They took out a knife and stabbed Shivaji in the chest and shoulder. He was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," the senior police officer added. The police have registered an FIR and a manhunt has been launched to nab the criminals.
