The trial run will start from January 24, which will be monitored by the Commissioner of Railway Safety and engineers. Various tests will have to be conducted before the run starts.
"The trail run is very important and mandatory under the Railways Safety Commission. Each department such as signaling, maintenance, electrical and others have to be satisfied before they commence the commercial runs.
If there are any corrections to be made, the concerned departments will be informed, and action will be taken accordingly."
BMRCL PRO Yashwant Chavan said, "On January 24, the chief minister and government officials will be inspecting personally the Metro's trial run. Later, we will be conducting oscillation tests, break tests and so on to ensure that the train is fit to commence its commercial trips."
