Good news for those on the lookout for retail therapy.u00a0 Delhi Metro in its phase-III will connect some of the most popular malls and shopping centres in the city. For example, the shopping arcades on both sides of South Extension, Ansal Plaza, which is the oldest modern shopping mall of the city, will get connected.



"With Metro connectivity, commuters won't have to worry about parking constraints at malls. They can also shop till late as Metro services are available till 11 pm. Besides, the existing shopping areas such as Rajouri Garden will get more visitors as the existing station there will get additional connectivity," said a DMRC
official.

Commuters are only too happy with the new prospect. "Commuting to malls like Ansal Plaza is a pain as auto rickshaw drivers charge exorbitant amounts. Metro connectivity will help us get rid of these unnecessary hassles. Also, it will be a lot easier and safer to shop till late," said Tanvi Khanna, marketing professional who is a resident of south Delhi.

The phase-III corridors will connect a lot of other prominent shopping complexes and malls like Ansal Plaza, South Extension Shopping arcades, DLF Promenade, DLF Emporio, Ambience Mall: Vasant Vihar, Munirka," added DMRC spokesperson.
