After a sleazy Bigg Boss stint, Monica Bedi has recently released her first devotional music album, Ek OnkaarFrom Bigg Boss' house to the real Boss' house must've been a tough journey, you'd think. But not for apna Monica Bedi, who can don any garb with effortless ease. Her newest way of being in the news is a spiritual album, complete with a cover that shows heru00a0 sati savitri side. It's called Ek Onkaar. "The album is no business proposition. It is about my faith in God, who has given me the power to overcome all obstacles in life. The Universal Company contacted me when I came from Bigg Boss, and I was astonished because, I didn't have any singing background. Soon, I realised it is just about my devotion," says Monica, who's walking a different path nowadays.
The album consists of her renditions of the 'Mool Mantra' and passages from the Sikh religious compilation 'Japji Sahib'. "I have suffered a lot. I thought my life was over, but my faith kept me going. It's like a rebirth, and my family is also very happy for me," she smiles angelically.
Wondering how a non-singer went about her 40-minute album? "I made sure the pronunciations were perfect, because nothing can be changed. I worked hard, and made sure it came from the heart." What's next? A film and yet another reality show. No wonder she's singing praises for the Lord!
