Swargate chowk is often water-logged during rainy season and this leads to major traffic congestion at junction of six arterial roads
Keshavrao Jedhe Chowk, popularly known as Swargate chowk is the busiest chowk owing to the heavy traffic flow. Interestingly, the chowk which joins six arterial roads, including Shivaji Road, Tilak Road, Natraj Hotel Lane, Sarasbaug Road, Satara Road and Shankarshet Road is routinely submerged under rainwater during the monsoon, which throws vehicular traffic out of gear.
PMC corporator of Ward Number 100, Ashok Harnawal of the Shiv Sena joined the MiD DAY campaign in water-logged neighbourhoods.
MiD DAY surveyed three water-logged areas to assess the severity of the problem.
