The Classic Movie Festival is travelling across seven cities and will bring back the yesteryear's. The young generation finally gets a chance to watch the classics which they have seen on TV or DVD on the big screen, just like any other new release

With several film festivals keeping people engaged, this one will surely be a different treat for the cinema lovers

The Classic Movie Festival is travelling across seven cities and will bring back the yesteryear's. The young generation finally gets a chance to watch the classics which they have seen on TV or DVD on the big screen, just like any other new release.



"The films selected in the festival are milestones in the journey of world cinema and I am sure that our patrons will love to see them and make the festival a huge success," says Gautam Dutta, CEO, Cinemedia, PVR Ltd., on this new initiative.

The films that will be the talk of the town during this festival are Ben Hur, Ten Commandments, the Al Pacino starrer Godfather, Blues Brothers, Audrey Hepburn's classic Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Italian Jobu00a0 and Casablanca.

The proceeds of the ticket sales will go to the OneSight Foundation. OneSight is a family of charitable programmes dedicated to improving vision through outreach, research and education. So don't miss these classics on the 70 mm screen.

Here's a chance for the English and Hindi audience to watch plays together. Two plays will be performed ufffd one in Hindi and the other in English. Desires Unlimited's new production Back2Black is a satire where two plays will be staged back to back with an interval of 10 minutes.

Hatyare is an adaptation of a short story by Amar Kant which takes a powerful satirical dig at today's youth. The two protagonists intend to change the world with their airy talks, sky-high confidence and zero substance. Out at Sea is a political satire on different forms of governance and the plight of a common man in dealing with corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.

Delhi Queer Pride 2010
Buoyed by the response they got in the last two years, the gay community will celebrate its diversity by taking out marches, singing, dancing andu00a0 speeches in the Capital on Sunday. The queer community has raised funds which they are using to buy material that will be given away free of cost at the march ufffd masks, small rainbow flags, whistles, candies, rainbow scarves and leaflets.
