National Investigation Agency (NIA) team is probing whether Pakistani born suspected American terrorist David Coleman Headley visited the holy town of Ajmer after 26/11 attacks last year.


National Investigation Agency (NIA) team is probing whether Pakistani born suspected American terrorist David Coleman Headley visited the holy town of Ajmer after 26/11 attacks last year.

"NIA investigators are probing whether the suspected American terrorist David had visited the holy town of Ajmer after the Mumbai terror attacks last year," Ajmer SP Hari Prasad Sharma said. However, Sharma did not divulge any further details about the team and details of their investigation.

According to sources, the NIA team in past two days searched a number of hotels in Pushkar, 15 km from Ajmer and took possession of guest records. The team has reportedly got some important inputs and has identified hotels where Headley had stayed as tourist after the 26/11 terror attacks.

Local media has reported that Headley during his stay had mingled among the Israeli tourists and had also tried to learn their language and living style. According to reports, Israeli tourists were his possible targets in Pushkar.
