"Narendra Modi has accepted the request of the state BJP to visit Bihar to meet families of the blast victims, mostly party workers, and the injured, to express his concern for them, despite his busy programme," said a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader close to former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi.
According to him, Sushil Kumar Modi contacted Narendra Modi and requested him to visit Bihar for this.
"Narendra Modi is expected to visit six villages in different districts to meet families of those killed in serial blasts and will also visit the Patna Medical College and Hospital here to meet the seriously injured," a BJP leader said.
Modi will use a helicopter to visit six villages to meet families of victims.
Giriraj Singh, a senior BJP leader, confirmed that Modi will visit Bihar again.
"His programme has been finalised," said Giriraj Singh, a former minister considered a vocal supporter of the Gujarat chief minister.
Bihar's ruling Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said his party has nothing to say about it.
"It is for the BJP to decide to invite any leader to Bihar," he said.
Six people were killed and nearly 100 injured in Patna Sunday in the serial blasts in and around Gandhi Maidan ahead of Narendra Modi's rally.
A day after the string of explosions, the state BJP announced that the party would provide Rs.5 lakh each to the families of those killed and also bear the cost of their last rites.
Ashes of the dead would be taken to different parts of the state from their native villages and immersed in the Ganga river in Patna Nov 5.
The BJP Wednesday is observing condolence day in memory of the blast victims.
