Naseeruddin Shah gets candid with Anil Naik about his forthcoming film Barah Aana and his take on the new lot of filmmakers
When it comes to parallel cinema, he is a name to reckon with. In his 34-years in Bollywood Naseeruddin Shah has donned a variety of roles in his films. But ask him which is his favourite and pat comes the reply, "I have enjoyed doing all the roles in my films."

Getting chatty post the launch of his forthcoming flick, Barah Aana, at E-Square in Pune, he said that he takes working with young directors as a good exercise to understand and adopt the changing cinematic language. He also cleared, "There is no such term like parallel film. It has just been created by journalists and trade guide people."
Talking about the new lot of directors Shah said they know their subjects well and that he felt privileged that they chose him to work with them. "Perhaps, I am one of the few actors who have worked with most first time film makers and I have never regretted," he said.

Shah's Barah Aana is a street-smart drama set in the modern-day Mumbai. The movie revolves around three friends a driver, a watchman and a waiter. Shah plays the driver who is struck by misfortune and commits a crime. But his life changes positively after going through a traumatic incident.
Shah said that Barah Aana is a film that will gain popularity through word of mouth publicity. Naseer was accompanied by Barah Aana director Raja Menon, producer Raj Yerasi and production designer Anu Menon.
