A 56-year-old driving with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) committed suicide by jumping from one of the buildings of Central Government Offices (CGO) complex, which houses several sensitive departments, on Monday afternoon, police said
New Delhi: A 56-year-old driving with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) committed suicide by jumping from one of the buildings of Central Government Offices (CGO) complex, which houses several sensitive departments, on Monday afternoon, police said.
The incident was reported around 3.30 p.m. from the CGO complex situated in south Delhi. Investigators said that the DRI driver, identified as Pramod Kumar, had taken an off. "Kumar had made a call to one of his senior in the office on Monday morning and informed that he will not be able to join office due to some problem," the officer said.
The officer said the investigators were yet confirm the exact reason behind his taking the extreme step as no suicide note was recovered from his possession. The investigators were yet to find out the exact floor of the building from where Kumar jumped.
