A newborn baby girl was today found abandoned near railway tracks in Jagatpura area, police said.

The girl was spotted by some people who informed the police.
She was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance where the doctors said the birth of the girl was premature and chances of her survival were bleak, they said.
The girl was born some time before she was dumped, the doctor who was attending to her, said.
She is on ventilator support in the ICU ward of the hospital where she is being treated, police said. u00a0
