Nashik: Nine people, including a policeman, were injured in two separate incidents of leopard attack in the district, police said on Monday.
A leopard attacked eight persons at Dongargaon village in Chandvad taluka on Sunday, a police official said.
The feline appeared near an old well at Dongargaon, about 12 kms from Chandvad, and suddenly attacked eight persons, including a policeman at Chandvad police station, he said.
Later, the big cat fell into a pit, he said. The forest officials kept a cage near the spot and efforts were on to trap the carnivore, he said.
The injured persons were treated at Nashik Civil Hospital.
In another incident, a 41-year-old man got injured when a leopard attacked him yesterday at an agricultural field at Thangaon-Shivar in Yeola taluka of the district, police said.
