The west division police have arrested a gang of nine Supari killers who kidnapped and killed a person after he refused to give them commission for a property registration.
The kingpin of the gang, who owns a milk dairy and a farmhouse in Kanakpura, had helped Ravi get the registration work of a one-acre land. Ravi's wife was bequeathed one acre of land in Tamil Nadu from her granny for which the accused Soma helped to get the registration.
Initially Ravi's family thought Soma was helping them in registration work out of friendship. But later Soma demanded Rs 2 lakh as commission.
When the family refused, Soma hired a gang of eight and got Ravi kidnapped and robbed. They demanded Rs 2 lakh ransom for his release but before the money was paid, the gang hacked Ravi to death.
Based on the information provided by the family members, the West Division police, headed by DCP Shiva Kumar, arrested the gang.
