The police registered the case against Billabong High International School for not paying full compensation to eight-year-old Reema Khetri who was hit by its speeding bus in Noida on December 26, 2008.
Reema's parent wants adequate compensation for her surgery.
The eight-year-old girl was rushed to a nearby private hospital with severe leg injuries. Later, she was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital when the doctors concluded that her injured leg would have to be amputated.
Reeling under financial crunch, the victim's father, Raj Khetri, who works as a chauffeur had approached the school for compensation.u00a0 He was paid a paltry sum of Rs 10,000, while the medical bill was Rs 75,000.
