Sunday MiD DAY rates the Indian music frat's Twitter know-how

NONE of them are as obnoxious as a John Mayer or even an Usher. In fact, most of our film world's music tweeps come off sounding as sincere, nice guys. They rarely surprise you but hey, they're letting you into their lives. Will that do for now? We checked out artistes that were super follower-worthy. Well, at least most of them.

How tweet: Rahman's just getting onto mobile tweets. He's impossibly busy to tweet, so most of his Facebook posts (uploaded by his manager) are diverted onto Twitter u00e2u0080u0093 updates on his soundtracks, concerts, the usual. If you want a glimpse of the real Rahman, it's not here yet.

How tweet: Fresh to Twitter, Ehsaan's page says a lot more than what we hoped for. It's not just work but we'll know in a couple of months how he maxes his Twitter potential.

How tweet: Last we checked, the singer had more than 5,000 followers and he tweets mostly about his upcoming performances, but adds an update or two about his life as well, like the birth of his baby boy. How tweet: Mohit just deleted his Twitter link. The singer promo-ed his first solo album on the site and kept us posted about his film music too, before he just fell off the planet (as he is known to do). Sounds just like our gypsy man Babaji aka Mohit.
Tweet that: "I took it off because am not on the net as such. I'm part of a reality show on TV and I want to make more music, travel, so I wasn't really getting any time."

How tweet: This is one singer who tweets about food. A lot. From idlis at Madras Cafu00c3u00a9 to dal makhni to sizzlers. Shreya's retweets and replies to most tweeps is pretty regular, gaining some 21,000 odd fans..

How tweet: The composer calls himself beatmaster667 and has just got hooked onto Twitter. There isn't much that he's giving away of his life, but this guy's so low-key that any news is good.

I'm not that regular also because I don't want to be a slave to technology, but yes, Twitter and Facebook connect me to people who I would otherwise have no way of reaching out to."

Heck, he even got some car problems fixed with a single tweet recently. "The good thing is that there's a buzz about the film before the publicity even begins. More than that, Twitter helps me make my own statement and directly interact with my fans."
