Paradip (Odisha): At least 12 people were injured, four of them critically, when a gas balloon cylinder exploded at 'Kalinga Baliyatra' festival ground here, police said today.
The incident took place when a vendor was selling balloons at the venue of the annual festival and the gas cylinder suddenly exploded last night, Additional Superintendent of Police Madhabananda Sahu said.
12 people sustained injuries in the incident and were immediately taken to the local hospital. Four of them were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack as their condition turned critical, he said.
