What does Raaz director Mohit Suri do when he gets a call from a producer who wants to remake his film in Kannada? Read on
Pulling a Birthday Bakra on celebrities seems to be a regularly occurring phenomenon on my show (Bengalooru Fatafat: Every morning 7 to 11). Last week, I managed to pull a fast one on Mohit Suri, the director of Raaz the mystery continues, starring the serial kisser Emran Hashmi (his cousin) and Kangana Ranaut. This would'nt have been possible if not for the pressure from my producer Rakesh, who was keen on giving him a call, more so after meeting the entire cast and crew of the movie Raaz. They were in our studios a couple of weeks ago.
Mohit: Hello...
Prithvvi: Hi, my name is Adaal. I am a producer from South India. First of all, congratulations on all your critically acclaimed movies Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Kalyug and now Raaz-the mystery continues...
Mohit: Thank you. Thank you, so much.
Prithvvi: Mohit, I was wondering if I could re-make your movie Raaz in Kannada?
Mohit: Yeah, yeah. Definitely! Why not?
Prithvvi: Great! The title in Kannada would be Rahasya, The Samasya Continues...
Mohit: I can speak to my producer and we can take it further.
Prithvvi: Could I have Emran and Kangana for the Kannada version too?
Mohit: Aaah! You need to ask them.
Prithvvi: I want Emran to do what he is really known for...more kissing scenes...
Mohit: Sure. But that's the later part. First, let me speak to my producer.
Prithvvi: Here is another raaz for you, Mohit. This is Prithvvi from 94.3 RadioOne! You are my Birthday Bakra!
He was in splits, and so was I.
