The Bangiya Sanskriti Samsad will be organising a one-day dance workshop on Bharatiya Shastriya Nitriyakala and Rabindranath Tagore.
The event will be held on February 1 at Abul Kalam Azad Hall in Koregaon Park.
Lecture
Bharatnatyam exponent, Dr Sucheta Chapekar, will be sharing her thoughts on some of her own dance compositions based on Tagore's songs and poetry.
The post-lunch session would expose the participants, to Tagore's conception on the amalgamation of the different Indian classical dance forms.
This would be demonstrated through a partial enactment of the famous Tagore dance-drama Shyama, which will unveil the intricate coexistence of various classical dance styles as well as folk forms in Rabindra Nritya.
