Has Aaditya Thackeray joined his estranged uncle Raj's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's students' wing? That's supposed to be the case, if one is supposed to believe a recently issued press release by the political party.

In a major embarrassment to Raj Thackeray's group, a press release issued by the MNS Vidyarthi Sena -- the students' wing - addressed Aaditya Thackeray as their honourable chief and thanked the Yuva chief for the new appointments.

Ajay Shinde, in charge of the western Maharashtra students' wing, in a press release said, "MNS students wing chief honourable Adityasaheb Thackeray has made new appointments to the posts of sports wing chiefs of Pune." As soon as Shinde released the press release around 5.50 pm last evening, all panic broke loose and officials soon rushed to correct the error.

Soon, Shinde issued a fresh press issue retracting the mistake. But, the party had to face major embarrassment, as Aditya Rajan Shirodkar heads the MNS students' wing.

Efforts to contact Shirodkar failed, as his cell phone was unreachable. But, Sachin More, vice president of MNS students' wing, said the concerned mail has been forwarded to Aditya Shirodkar for further action. u00a0
