Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished a speedy recovery cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was admitted at the Apollo Hospital here yesterday after being diagnosed with 'life threatening disease' of acute deep vein thrombosis


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished a speedy recovery cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was admitted at the Apollo Hospital here yesterday after being diagnosed with 'life threatening disease' of acute deep vein thrombosis.

'Dear @sherryontopp ji, get well soon. You are a fighter and will overcome the illness in your trademark style. Our prayers are with you,' Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

Sidhu had earlier tweeted a picture of himself from the hospital, saying that he was 'down but not out'.

According to reports, Sidhu is stable and has been recovering well.
