"The last date of application was June 20, but considering the large number of students, we extended it to June 31. To avail the scheme, students are expected to submit proof of residence, identity proof, two photographs and letter from the concerned school principal. Passes will be distributed at their respective schools. These passes will be valid for use on the journey from their (students) residential areas to their schools," a PMPML official said.u00a0
"School heads have to approach the nearest PMPML depot and collect the application forms to be filled by the students. School officials will have to submit the correctly filled applications back to the depot. Our depots are located at Swargate, N T Wadi, Kothrud, Katraj, Hadapsar, Market Yard, Pune Station, Bhakti Shakti, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Sadguru Nagar and PMPML headquarters no. 2."
Recently, the PMP Pravasi Manch had criticised PMPML for its âinordinate delay' in providing free passes to the students, as the academic year had started from June 15. They had shot off letters to the mayor, and commissioners of Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, drawing their attention to the issue. u00a0
