In a bid to discuss the problems faced by college authorities during the Class XI admissions, the cops had called a special meeting of principals of 48 junior colleges in the city. During the meeting, the principals alleged that they received threats from the members of the students' union

"Many a times, students seeking admission get references from ministers, education officers and even leaders of students' union. The authorities have to even face humiliation. Hence, we have assured them that our men will be posted in the campus to ensure they are not pressurised into giving admissions," said Manohar Joshi, PI, Deccan police station.

Speaking to MiD DAY, Chandrakant Raval, principal of BrihanMaharashtra College of Commerce, said, "The cops have asked colleges to install CCTV cameras in the campus, and have assured us all the help during the ongoing admission procedure."u00a0
